Tarantino own!! 8/10

Star Trek (2009)

23 May, 2009 (19:37) | Commentary, DVD Review, Movie Review | No comments

I was never really big into the Trek franchise prior to the new movie. I have seen it twice, once on an Imax screen , and once on a regular screen. The CGI is 10/10 and the plot stays at a frantic pace delivering a total package that leaves the audience dumbstruck. [...]

Wolverine (X-Men Origins) – (2009)

Decent, felt like they skimped on the cgi in places but overall it was o.k.

Who Watches the Watchmen?

9 March, 2009 (20:04) | Movie Review | 2 comments

Alan Moore is not a new comer to writing stories that beg to become movies. He was the mind behind such films as From Hell, V for Vendetta, and Swamp Thing. Finally someone had the balls to attempt to bring his masterpiece to the big screen, and very successfully I might add. The Watchmen was originally released in 1986 from [...]

The Dark Knight (2008)

20 July, 2008 (06:53) | Movie Review | No comments

Bale’s performance was lackluster as usual, he is no Keaton when it comes to Batman. I couldn’t help but wonder if Ledger’s good reviews had anything to do with his untimely death, you know, the way a fallen soldier is posthumously awarded the ‘Purple Heart’, but Heath definitely lives up to the [...]

HellBoy II – The Golden Army (2008)

20 July, 2008 (06:38) | Movie Review | No comments

Great Movie. Good plot and excellent CGI. Character creation of ‘ILM’ scale and quality. Totally worth going to see in the theaters.

Hancock (2008)

First half was great; second half not so much. CGI was weak to say the least. Save this for Blockbuster or On Demand.

Wall●E (2008)

29 June, 2008 (12:46) | Movie Review | 4 comments

Great movie! It would seem as though Pixar cannot make a bad flick. Totally worth seeing in the theaters. I heard more parents laughing than I did children, I think the 7 and under crowd were oblivious to the premise of the movie. Humanity’s exile from Earth can be a pretty [...]

The Incredible Hulk (2008)

17 June, 2008 (18:25) | Movie Review | No comments

Hulk was totally predicatable, but totally entertaining.  The cgi was great and Ed Norton’s acting really helped this flick out.  A cameo of Tony Stark at the end set up the sequel(s) nicely.  Worth seeing in the theater if you’re into the eyecandy.

Indiana Jones 4

8 June, 2008 (19:11) | Movie Review | No comments

This review will assume one thing, that you have seen Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark.  Now, replace the Germans with Russians, replace the ark with an Alien Skeleton, and replace the power of the Ark with a spaceship taking off.  And there you have Indiana Jones: Kingdom of the Crystal [...]

Atonement (2008)

Words fail me. This move is teh suck.

Cloverfield (2008)

18 January, 2008 (19:57) | Movie Review | No comments

Decent. Blair Witch’s cinematography meets Independence Day’s script with the monsters from Pitch Black and an original main alien at the end. Word!!!

Juno – 2007

31 December, 2007 (19:16) | Movie Review | No comments

This movie was extremely good. Funny, smart, and Ellen Page’s acting brought a very real feel to this flick. Favorite thing about this movie was a 5 second cameo by Cut Chemist playing the role of none other than a chemistry teacher. [...]

I Am Legend (2007)

15 December, 2007 (08:13) | Movie Review | No comments

I’m a pretty tough critic when it comes to zombie movies, I’ve been a fan of the genre ever since my friend Chill showed me the original 1978 Savini/Romero epic Dawn of the Dead. I Am Legend uses the same apocalyptic catalyst that [...]

No Country for Old Men (2007)

24 November, 2007 (08:32) | Movie Review | No comments

This movie is going to win the award for “Least Dialogue In a Motion Picture.” To carry the story it mainly relies on it’s raw, gritty appearance that is often more outspoken than the words exchanged between characters. Not to suggest the script was underwritten though. [...]
